and wait for D. If Apple haven't discontinued the Air by then, the Rev D is the one they'll get right. Hopefully.

If they had put 4GB RAM in there, plus the drop in price and CPU boost that would have been awesome. The price drop alone is significant though.

You're not obliged to get every Air.

I think it's a decent spec-up, but agreed:
2GB soldered RAM doesn't really cut it any more for a premium machine.

I was excited when they started with the hardware upgrades, saw good things coming. But...

2G RAM is a deal braker. My BP G4 has 2 gig RAM - and is 5 years old (thats in IT an eternity), my 3 year old 1st gen MBP has 2 gig RAM... For a premium laptop that is not enough any more. This is not a size question and it is not so much price anymore... So, why?:(
