Jeopardy just came on, and my current English teacher's husband is on Jeopardy.

She went there sometime during March to film it. She signed a NDA to not tell anybody, so I don't know if he'll win/lose.

Its weird looking at him outside of school (He's a middle school teacher at my Secondary School, and she's a 9th grade teacher for my Secondary School)

No, but I've put quite a few people on national TV ... even more on regional stations.

It's up to the OP, but I would say a 2 second shot of you as a fan in the stands or on the sideline doesn't count.

Yeah, doesn't count.

EDIT: Oh, my brother, he was on Local T.V News for finding a stolen server from a high-security building in Washington D.C outside his UPS store.

I was part of a discussion panel about three years ago on CNN about a month after the liquid bombing plot was exposed. It was about its effects on transatlantic aviation. I can't say that it was too exciting; it only lasted for about six minutes.

Every month or so I can be spotted in the background of something or other. But in the context that you mean - front and center as the focal point of the show - nope.

Jason Pratt.

He won the Final Jeopardy with $2....amazing.I'd hate to lose something like that by $2

Let's see... You know when they show a side view of the batter of a baseball game? Does it count if the batter's on the left of the frame and I'm in the center behind the dugout? :D

No? Aww...

He dominated most of the game, though, and answered correctly in Final Jeopardy. He deserved it and she knew it. We'll see how he does tomorrow!:D

As to your OP, I worked on a famous TV series for a while so my name was in the credits. Does that count? If so, woo-hoo!:)

Fortunately, I have managed to avoid most of those "opportunities." Unfortunately, not all of them, and thankfully they didn't include me throwing the cameraman overboard, nor any other acts of popular media-despising violence for its own sake.

"Good Morning, America," my ass. Lifeless, voyeuristic, scum-sucking leeches, the lot of them, and they should all die.

Oh, I'm sorry. Did I say that out loud?

You're in the army, no? What did you have to do to these people to get them on TV?

I was in an infomercial for Sandals Weddings. They filmed me and my husband's wedding on the beach and included a lot of the footage. I thought it was cool, but ultimately regretted it, basically because the "upgrades" they offered in return ultimately sucked.:o We did get a cool professional video out of it though.

I have no idea why, but at first, I read that as "The Crying Game". If you've ever seen the movie, you'd probably understand why I couldn't figure out how your cousin could consider that a "win". Glad I read your post again. :o

It really was. But in return they upgraded our nice, comfy, hotel room to a cottage on the beach - would've been nice, but the AC didn't work well and the temps were in excess of 100ºF. Also, they said that they would do my hair and makeup. They didn't use sweat-proof makeup so I had to redo it 10 minutes before the ceremony. And, those Jamaica women didn't know how to style a white girl's hair! I was scrambling at the last minute to fix all their mistakes. It was frantic! Thank God it didn't appear that way on TV! :p

Ha ha! I'm with ya there, although I technically only put their audio on TV.

Although it's been decided that it doesn't count, I've been on ESPN (about five seconds of clapping at a Boise State football game).

I've also been on Conan O'Brien as they did an audience skit right next to me.

More like a dead sprint down the OPSEC line.

More like a dead sprint down the OPSEC line.

The service being predominately of two types, Operator or Day Worker (me being the former), I was blissfully uninvolved except for those occasions an entire pool was embarked and I was lassoed for no other reason than I have a fair speaking voice and was a middling management sort (known as well to provide a colorful quote at times).

When I got a net crew, I fed them BS. If it was a friendly (Navy Times), I fed him beer. Consequently, the resulting reportage was, to say the least, oft at some displacement to measurable reality.

And that's why everybody believes we won the Gulf War. :p

Hey Fireshot, I'm a really old friend of Jason Pratt and I used to teach with him in Jax. I lost touch with him over 4 years ago and have been looking for him ever since. What a shock it was to see him on tv the past 3 days.

If you would be kind enough to pass him a message for me I would very much appreciate it.

Tell him: "Moose Paul says hi and to email him at walwus@comcast.net"

Thanks guy.
