What contacts are syncing to MobileMe?

Last night i turned on contacts on my iPhone under MobileMe (previously only synced iCal and email with ME). Anyway I thought the contacts would sync from address book on my computer. Instead several entries in address book are not in ME or iPhone ME contacts. So where is it syncing from? Thanks.

I didn't have contacts checked in my system prefs on my mac. But thank you for responding!
