Energy Saver--what happened to better perform, better battery, normal?

Does os x now just completely take it out of your hands? On battery it just gives you the max battery that it can now?

Does anyone know if I can disable more stuff to further extend battery life, or is os x now doing it all behind-the-scenes?

You can disable bluetooth and the wireless adapter, also dimming the screen to where it turns off the back light will help to extend the time the battery lasts between charges.
