I'm trying to install software on OSX 10.3.3 and keep getting an error message saying that "The alias "alias name" cannot be copied to the destination, perhaps because the destination does not support this type of alias."

I've not run into this before, has anyone else and if so how did you over come this issue?

thanks

You're not using a UFS-formatted drive as your primary drive, are you? If you are, the most likely cause is that the program you are trying to install doesn't support UFS (it tries to copy an HFS alias, which UFS doesn't understand, to the main drive, but fails).
