Wasn't the 3.0 software supposed to have a percentage meter that states how much battery is left? I thought I even saw it on some of the betas. Did this feature not make the GM version, or is there a specific way to turn it on?

It's there for me on my 3G with 3.0 GM (7A341).
Have you ever jailbroken? That would do it.
Also, it states on Apple's website that the % is only available on the S.
