at 5:01am the URLs will go live

it should have popped right up at the top. but there are rules. if you were a member after May 31st it says you won't be able to sign up for one just yet. you can find more of the rules on google - most of them are about name 'squatting'

I got my last name without having to put any numbers on the end or modify it, which is always nice. I've got [my last name]@gmail.com as well. :)

If you spend time typing in random facebook vanity names you'll realize only about 20% of the "good ones" are taken. For example gangster, gangsta, pimp, etc... (typical names a 12-16 year old would use) aren't taken yet.

Well, if I could find where to make one, I'd choose www.facebook.com/conch1.. I just found it, and I changed it!

This is like those people who went to my college who didnt realize they wouldn't be able to change their email address after having picked it. They enjoyed BMWBALLER31234@bu.edu until it came time to apply for jobs.
