iPhone 3g stops charging ?

Is this normal ?

Whenever the phone gets warm it stops charging ? Now the weather is getting hotter it keeps stopping charging in the car ? The fully charged icon appears when it stops. ?

Do I have an issue here. Or do they all do this ?

No just charging it nothing else. What shall I do ?

wow crazy , it must be crazy hot where you live

your iphone is overheating, and so it stops charging to prevent overheating even further.

try holding your phone against one of your AC vents ( or get a cradle) that should solve your problem

Ok I was just at home watching you tube videos. And the phone stopped charging again. It has warmed up but it was not steaming hot.

Is this normal protection cut off thingy or is it kicking in to early etc.

It's overheating, just like Dr. Cabrera said. If you feel it's overheating too much, take it to the Apple store.
