If your key is on something like this: http://www.technibble.com/articlecontent/2007/11/cod-sticker.jpg then it is OEM. If it is not, it may be retail, but there is still a possibility of it being an OEM key.

I was able to run an OEM copy of Vista Ultimate under bootcamp, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to run XP.

Boot Camp doesn't care - after all, it's just a drivers collection for Apple hardware. I only use OEM/SystemBuilder versions of Microsoft Windows and never had a problem with them.
