Turning Samsung Monitor Vertical with Macbook

I connected my Samsung syncmaster 215TW with macbook - via minidisplay port reduction to DVI... when I turn the monitor verticaly, nothing happens... do I have to install some aditional software to my macbook? thank you for answers

There isn't a gyroscope in the monitor...

actually, the monitor automatically flips itself when using windows...So I dont know why it wouldn't In OSX. Either way, just do what Tallest Skill said, and it'll work.
