So for those of you who don't like pirating software, please leave now. This thread may or may not contain information of such topics. If you do stay, please don't tell me not to download (hypothetically) unless you give me advice relating to this issue that could or could not be occurring. Please do not say 'uninstall and quit downloading' or anything similar to that. I wont listen, because....I'm not really downloading anything, if you catch my drift.

For those of you still here, I have a huge problem. I am on a macbook running os x. 10.5.7. I hypothetically use Transmission to download software, music, etc. Hypothetically, of course. Transmission is on version 1.71 (8648). It should be the newest version. There is a file that I may be trying to download that is about 20 gigs. Now, when it starts to download and gets 32 kb into it, it stops and says 'error: file too large'. So I re-downloaded the torrent and set the download to be placed on my western digital external hd (with 160 gigs left on it). Transmission will still say "error: file too large". So I resume it, and it'll download maybe 50-100 kb more and then stop to say 'error: file too large'. I just keep repeating the process. Does anyone know why it is doing this?

But again, for my own safety against who ever cares, and for your humor, this is all hypothetical and I may or may not be contributing to the act of piracy. Anything that I have said in this thread could not be real. But lets pretend it is so I can get help for the hypothetical question I have asked.

Thanks!
