guys,

i use my iPhone in my car to listen to music, with a tape adapter in my car stereo. often times, it starts crackling and popping as i'm listening to music. is that because of its phone properties? or do i just have a bad adapter? does this mean i need an iPod?

mine doesn't crackle... i use an aux input to connect mine.

Turn on airplane mode and test to see if it is the phone radios interfering with the connection or not.

It's likely the infamous "GSM crackle" in the speakers...I get that occasionally in the car or ipod dock...try with Airplane Mode to make sure...

Cheers.
