New user: Possible to keep seperate contacts?

I am currently waiting for my 3Gs. I have had some experience with iPhones and I have had an iTouch for quite awhile. I've done some searching here but I couldn't find an answer to my question, which is:

Is there a way to sync contacts with my Gmail account and my work Exchange account - while keeping each contact list separate?
I am using Google sync on my iTouch and it works great. But it uses the one Exchange account allowed and on the iPhone I will need that for the work email. So, without Google Sync is there a way to do this?

The iPhone will keep your contacts separate no matter what. I don't know how to set up syncing of 2 exchange accounts though, you can only have 1.
