They dropped it another hundred on the refurb store. 🙂 Gonna pick me up one.

I know it's more expensive than others, but I got thinking:

- Comes with simple connections (adapters would cost another $30) and another magsafe adapter (which would cost another $80) so you have to take well over $100 off the price in terms of practicality.

- Hi-IPS panel

- Beautiful, Apple look.

If I had a newer Apple computer with mDP and $700 I'd buy one. Anyone want to give me a gift? 😎
Cheaper refurbs mean that they are over stocked as many people are returning and others aren't buying.
 
I bet they are all of the ones people are returning with dead or bright pixels. 🙄

I actually just sold mine on eBay for $699 (plus you got 8% cash back) - it was in perfect condition. I was just way to sensitive to the glossy panel (I suffer from frequent migraines).
 
Just bought one on Ebay today for $532 shipped ($649 - 10% coupon - 8% cash back). 2 months old but from a very reputable seller. I'm pretty excited.. 😀
 
699 would be great if Apple offered it at that price new. Even higher ed is 799 and developer is 809. I think that Apple dropped the price because the are so many 24" monitors in the market with a price between 300-500, and the average macbook, macbook pro user isn't going to notice quality VS the 300-500 difference in price.

I just noticed that the 30" is 1299 at the refurb store. when did that happen, last I checked it was around 1499 or 1399.

Are we getting new 30" soon?

I really hope so. I'd love to have a 30" panel to use at home with my air without having to buy that stupid adapter than everyone seems to have problems with.
 
As an aside, where are all these 10% off, 8% cash back, etc deals coming from? It sounds like an ebay specific thing

Anyone can get the Bing cash back if you use "buy it now" and pay with Paypal on Ebay. Just go to Bing.com an search for whatever you're looking for and it should pop up. The 10% coupon code was emailed to me as a special discount (probably since I've bought a few items off of ebay as of late).
 
Hmmm I might just go ahead and get this some time in the near future - actually, no... My MBP isn't unibody. When I upgrade to the unibody, THEN i'll get this with it!
 
I just saw this!

I have been drooling over the LED for a while now and have been considering buying the refurb LED for $799 when I purchased my 13" MBP. Now that it's $699 I am even more tempted!
 
Shame they dont work with old MBPs 🙁.

Oh well, I ordered an HP LP2475w (aka, the poor man's IPS 😛) about a month ago. USPS Parcel Post suuuuucks 🙁.

Didn't you have that 23" Dell with the whacky resolution? What happened to that?
