Slow sync on 3G 3.0 iPhone

First I am sorry if this is posted somewhere else and I missed it. I did several searches but could not find the info.

I upgraded my 3G iPhone yesterday to 3.0 with no problems. Today it is taking forever to sync. Any ideas on what the problem is?

40 minutes, it took to sync. No new music or videos, just calendar, phone book, bookmarks and notes.:mad:

I cancelled Sync twice after waiting for more than an hour .... :confused:

Everything I've seen so far about 3.0 is slow. SMS takes longer to load, Sync takes longer, app store loads slower, apps in general take longer to load. I like the idea behind the update but honestly 3.0 was built for a phone with a better processor. I'm wondering if maybe that was an oversight by the developers. Iphone 3G doesn't seem to have the hardware to handle 3.0 like I thought.
