Hi everybody!

Just wanted to know, if i choose "Standard Company" in the Developer Program Enrollment - do i have to make a real company???
what's the difference between this and the standard program?

there are two types of enrollment:
- standard - don't have to have a company, you can release apps to appstore and test on real iphone devices
- corporate - don't have to have a company either i guess, but you cant release the apps to appstore but release them in bounds of the company ie. only iphones that belong to employees.

Please pay attention to what you're writing also and clarify what you mean. And no shouting!

So as the name says, Standard Individual is for people that do NOT own a business, Standard Company is for people that are a registered business.

so if I choose "Standard Company" i have to register a company in the state i am? or can i also make my own development-team, as it says in the content?:

??? because i would like to make iphone applications with other developers...

and how many devices i can register for development/testing and so on?

No matter what, you don't have to set up a legal company in your state.

How you're registered to publish (Standard: Individual or Company; Enterprise) on the App Store has nothing to do with how you set up your development team. It is possible to register as an Individual and still set up a team of developers.

And you need to check your state / local laws to see if you need to register as a company or not. This is something not easily answered in this forum and you shouldn't rely on any advice given, other than to consult other sources for guidance (small business bureau, etc.)

As for how many devices you can register: 100.

There are actually 3 types of programs:

Standard Individual
Standard Company (Apple may require you to fax them incorporation papers).
Enterprise (Must have at least 500 employees according to your Dunn & Bradstreet DUNS report, SEC filings, etc.).

The Standard Company allows you to have multiple team members using one program membership. Standard Individual only allows use by one ADC account. Both limited to 100 devices, plus App store distribution of free apps. If, in addition to joining the $99 program, your paid contract is also accepted, you can submit paid apps to the App store.

Enterprise allows you to have an in-house distribution store for over 100 devices registered to the company.

I was under the impression that if you choose Standard Company, Apple WILL require you to provide documents such as Articles of Incorporation.

FYI: I was told that switching from Individual to Company at a later time will require such documents... and your Apps will go off-store during conversion.

so I can register as Standard Individual and later re-register as Standard Company...? that would be great!!!

isn't there any developer from italy who made a standard Company???
