Is this phone worth spending $100 on? worth $50?

Eta - I am VERY new to this - just looking for opinions on if it is worth a $50/$100 gamble

hey i have a 8 gig 3G iphone in perfect cosmetic condition thing is i bought it from a guy and it worked but it was jailbroken so i wiped it and tried it out and it doesnt recognize my sim card

A -yea it is i have it in my current iphone i think the broken one was unlocked for tmobile

Q- how does the phone act with no sim in it? will it connect to wifi?

A- no its stuck at the connect to itunes screen

Sure it probably is, but no one can tell you a solid yes or no.

For 50$ t`s worth a try. If we assume the seller is not hiding anything and is bieng honest, there is a pretty good chance that it might be unlocked. But if there is something else wrong with it then consider your 50 bucks lost. Go for it of the seller seems trustworthy. But dont pay too much above 50$ as there is still a possibility that it`d turn in to nice shining 50+$ paper weight.
