Okay, so the jailbreak for the new 3.0 3G is scheduled to come out tomorrow.

I just want to make sure I'm taking the right steps to jailbreak my 3G iPhone.

Currently I have a 16GB iPhone 3G jailbreak running 2.2.1 FW.

In order to safely upgrade to OS 3.0 and jailbreak it again (when it's released), should I just use iTunes to automatically update my firmware? Or should I download the 3.0 package and install it manually? Should I wipe my iPhone clean and upgrade from default factory FW? I don't want to "brick" my iPhone. I've done some research on "bricked" iPhones and if my findings are right, it's only possible to "brick" your iPhone on older FWs, such as 1.1.3? Tell me if I'm wrong.

Also, what version of iTunes should I be running? I think I'm using 8.1 at home (I'm at work right now, can't be sure).

Thanks for any tips/advice.

Everywhere on these forums maybe? The Dev team is projected to release jailbreak and unlock for 3.0 today, if they can kink through all the bugs.
