is it safe to update ipod touch 2g to official 3.0 now? and wait for iphonedev team to release 3.0 jailbreak?

Ultrasn0w will be out pretty soon, which is the jailbreak app for 3.0. Just give it a week or so.

um no ultrasnow is a UNLOCK for iphone 3gs running 3.0 not a jailbrake for anything.

The new release of redsn0w will work with iPod Touch 2G running 3.0.
