pwnage tool 3.0: Update baseband or not?

Do you need to check the option to update the baseband? I have a 3g that is currently on AT&T, and it's just jail broken at 2.2.1 right now. I'm just wanting to upgrade to 3.0 and still keep it on AT&T.

What's a good size for the root partition?

Yes, 3.0 only works with the 4.26.08 baseband.
Root partition 500 MB I believe.
