Has anyone upgraded their Mac using either (or both) the VTBook or PowerLogix chip upgrade?

VTBook is this thing that they say will upgrade your notebook to 32 mb graphics, and I just want to know if the PowerLogix upgrade is worth the money (and if it works, especially with Mac OS X--I heard there were compatibility issues).

The total upgrade would cost me $750, so I'm wondering if it's worth it or if I should save some more and get the next PowerBook revision. Thanks.

Check out the Xlr8yourmac.com reviews, just search for Powerbook G3 2000 128 mobility.

there's 3 different offerings.. Fastmac has a G4 550mhz, as does Daystar. PL does seem to have a good rating. PL also has a G3/900 upgrade as well.

As for the VT pcmia card, i dont see it helping much unless you plan on plugging into an external most of the time.
