MONTERREY, Mexico -- The parents of a baby boy who weighed more than 13 pounds at birth are appealing for donations of food and clothing.

The boy and his mother were released from a Mexican hospital Thursday. The 13-pound, 6-ounce boy was born by Caesarean section on Monday.

That baby weighs over 5x what I weighed when I was a baby 😱 but I was three months premature. I'm glad that she is ok after having that big baby.

Clothing from 1 years olds... and LOT's of food judging by the weight... heheheh

i was 11lbs 3oz, but that seems quite a bit more reasonable by comparison now. I can't imagine what this pregnancy did to her body. Her poor kidneys must have ached.

At 13 pounds 6 ounces doing a cesarian section was the best option. I'm glad that everything worked out. I believe that I was about 8 pounds and 21 inches at birth. The present size doesn't really give an indication to future size.
