i did this jailbreak and i didnt think it was worth it. my whole iPod touch 2G was so slow, the status bar info kept disapering, moving apps around as very slow, Cydia kept crashing on me. in goin back to my 2.2.1 jailbreak

it wont screw up your iPod at all. i have tons of em..... i just cant put em n right now cuz i cant install that mipatch firmware thing cuz the wireless im on sucks >.< i have a jailbroken iPod touch with no jailbroken apps =/

your iPod touch has to have the 3.0 firmware on it when you jailbreak

Yep. That's all you have to do. That's what I did and I had jailbroken 3.0 on my iPod. I dont like it though

is it normal that after i jailbreak 3.0 on my 2G iPod touch everything is buggy and very slow?? it freakin sucked when i jailbroke my iPod with 3.0. i went back to 2.2.1. did i do somethin wrong or is it like that for everyone else? or is it the firmware i got? its not the one i got from apple....

i think it's totally worth it. you can install all those apps from torrents or check out appulo.us im sure you will find something you will be interested in.

i re jailbroke my iPod today and everything is working fine. i think the BlackDarkness theme i had was causing glitches or something

Hello.

Before the jailbreak. my wifi is working perfectly normal.

After jailbreaking 3.0 with redsn0w on the 2nd gen iPod Touch, nothing seems to be connected.

My SSID is correct, I get the signal bar (full) on the top left corner of the screen.

Keep getting this message " Safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the internet"

Tried resetting the router & resetting the network settings & renew lease & forget the network and add back & rebooting the iPod.

Nothing works.

What should I do?

Just got back from a trip and I had anxiously read this from my iPod touch in the hotel... now that I'm home to do it, I can't!

I've looked in ~/Library/iTunes/ and there is no folder containing iPod IPSWs, just a plugin folder and a scripts I created for Needle Drop... any idea where it would be? Yes, I did purchase 3.0 legally.

Edit, just thought about it. I believe I upgraded the touch on my Vista machine (before I got my MBP), will I be able to use this IPSW on the mac?

I trioed 5 times to jailbreak the 2nd gen Touch with no sucess. I did my 2G and 3G phones with ease, but after its done installing on the Touch, it doesnt come on at all

redsn0w crashes sometimes too after its done installing

Question... I bought my Touch off ebay a week ago and it came with 3.0 installed. I want to Jailbreak it but if I do and its sluggish, buggy and all is there a way to get it back to unjailbroken 3.0 without purchasing the software again?
