iPhone 3G vs 3GS connectors - are they the same?

Can anyone tell me if the connectors on the new iPhone 3GS are the same and located in the exact same positions as the older iPhone 3G model?

I ask because I want to buy a case for my new iPhone 3GS and want to know if one designed for the previous revision will work ok - with access to volume controls, headphone jack, speakers etc.
