What could stop anyone from returning an iPhone 3GS, but put someone's old 3G iPhone in instead to trick Apple, and then reactivate your iPhone 3GS on your own? Really, what could stop anyone. They look identical?

-facepalm-

Maybe the fact that the internals are different and the serial number and model number would not correspond to that on the box.

apple wouldnt be dumb enough to not check somehing like that. they would probably repremend you for trying to do that too (not saying that you would do that) personaly i wouldn't try it. Dont want a 3G? sell it on ebay

Mods should close this thread.....it is technically asking how to commit fraud against Apple. Last time I checked, that was illegal.

flip it over, see that the lettering on the back is pale grey instead of shiny chrome.

Even Apple knows not to make it EXACTLY identical
