Unlock/Jailbreak on iPhone 3G (2008) with 3.0 Firmware

Hi,

I have searched through the threads and I'm new to Jailbreaking on the 3G.
I am currently on O2 (Pay and Go) in the UK, and on firmware 3.0.0, standard baseband.

I want to jailbreak now, but will need to unlock (onto T-Mobile) in the future (end of the year maybe). I also need the ability to tether my connection. Pwnage Tool or Redsn0w?

Use Pwnage Tool or Redsn0w to jailbreak the phone. And Ultrasn0w will be released shortly and you can unlock the phone with that.

Which one is easier on an Intel Mac, and will I be able to revert the Jailbreak and the Unlock. And does it matter whether its in any order?
 
I would try out Redsn0w and see how that works, it is new and I haven't tried it yet (it is supposed to be equivalent to quickpwn). If not, Pwnage Tool is pretty straight forward and easy to do.
