Making Disc Images with Toast 6...Procedures?

Awhile back, I inquired to see if there was a way to play CC:G w/o having the dvd in my drive the whole time. (I purchased the game)
I want to maybe either play it off my hard drive, or make a copy of it, so I can play off the copy, and keep the original scratch/error free...

So, now I have Toast 6.
I was able to make an image of the DVD, which resulted in: Command & Conquer Generals.toast.
If this.. (didn't know exactly what I was doing...) decided to MOUNT it on my Desktop.
This resulted in the SAME icon I see when I put the original DVD in.. (which is great).

But...
Once I click on the executable.. it still asks for the dvd...

Did I miss a step here?

I suspect CC:G is protected somehow against this kind of imaging - it won't work (in Toast or Disk Utility, no matter what settings you use) without some sort of hack. Disclaimer: I do NOT own CC:G.

Highlight the disk image, then go to File ---> Show Info. There is a little box there you can click that will lock it.
