Pwned my 3G with 3.0 and now no signal!

Hey all,

Im in a bit of trouble now!

I unlocked my iPhone 3G this morning with the latest pwnage tool and all went well, but never tried it. I just put my sim in to try it (yes i should of tried it earlier) and nothing. It knows the sim is there but no signal. Here is a picture of what i mean.

Any help would be great 🙂

3.0 has yet to be unlocked for the iPhone 3G. As of now it is only unlockable on 2G iPhones. You will have to wait till ultrasn0w comes out (which is said to be soon).

Ah!!! Thanks for that. I read this and read it as unlocked, not jailbroken. Feel like a kn*bber now 🙁 sorry people...

Im wanting to sell it unlocked. If i restore the phone with my contract 02 sim, so it works as normal but not 'unlocked' and sell it like that is that ok?

make sure you uncheck the activate phone chechbox....if using pwnage tool in expert mode

Yes! That would be fine. Although I suggest you wait, ultrasn0w (unlocking iPhone 3G) will be out soon and you can sell the 3G for more money that way too. That's what I am waiting on in order to use that money to buy the 3G S

Yea im going to wait. my reasoning is the same as you however i brought the 3GS on pay and go for £440.40 already 😀 oops
