Real Strange MSN 4.0 Problem help !

Dont like using msn but some of my freinds wont revert to anything else being PC users.


I seem to connect ok but every 5 mins or so get disconnected.

My buddies tell me affter I connect I appear online but after a few mins or so I appear offline even though I,m Connected :confused: then dissconect a few mins latter ?

What can you think of why am I disconnecting ?

I am wireless but think this problem also happens when I,m not wireless.

What are your sugguestions ?

This was a minor problem in messenger 3.5 and many hoped it would be fixed in the new 4.0 but it appears to be much much worse. I am experiencing the same things so I think it is a bug in the program.

amsn (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/22504) is a much better client. has most of the features of the pc version.

Thanks Guys I thought I was facing the problem all by my own.

For the mean time have reverted to aMSN :D

Strangely, I MSN Messenger 3.5 kept cutting out every 10 minutes or so only on my uni ethernet with firewall connection. At home it was always fine. So at uni I switched to Proteus.

Now MSN 4 works for me fine and never hangs up. So I use that again as it can handle multi-chats better than Proteus.
