i installed this app but it never gets passed the loading page. i've removed and reinstalled twice and its doing the same thing. anyone else getting this problem?

It's not compatible with OS 3.0. Use Cycorder instead.

look up PPVideoEnabler from cydia on how to directly upload cycorder vids to YouTube, vimeo etc.

This is how to get the iPhone Video Recorder 3G for 3.0...

Add this source under the manage tab in cydia: http://www.iphonevideorecorder.com/3

Then it may have an error, but if you go to the middle tab where the new apps are usually, it should be near the top. Or else search for it.

the 3g crashes when I open the app

the 3.0 is askin for a registration code to get the full version
