Trying to jailbreak on modem firmware 04.28.08

i Just bought an iPhone 3G with the latest OS (3.0) and the modem firmware happens to be 04.28.08.

Can i still jailbreak it? If not, is there a way to downgrade the OS AND the modem firmware? Thanks

I believe you can jailbreak but you cannot unlock the phone until ultrasn0w is released. Usually the baseband (modem firmware) only affects unlocking the phone.

i bought it off a guy who unlocked it for me. I was trying to jailbreak it but it bricked. haha.
