View Full Version : How can one RENEW REMINDERS in the calendar app?

So, I use ical on my mac desktop, and use mobileme (mm) in the cloud, and SYNC these appointments to my iphone, which all works well.

Nice, just like exchange, change in one place, changes in all places.

But, the issue I have is, that a REMINDER goes off on the iphone, and I can only click away, there is no option to either CANCEL, RENEW at or REDO for like 1 hour later, 1 day later, etc.

And, even if I go into the calendar application and find the original appointment, I cannot reset the reminder for some future time?

Is there something I am missing, or is this just a deficiency of the application on the iphone?

Is this just a no?

You could set multiple reminders for each event... ? Or set alarms in clock app that can be snoozed... but other than that... guess not.

Yes, this is a huge PITA, and one of the few remaining things that my 6-year-old Treo does better than the iPhone. The reminder/snooze functionality was the best part of the Palm OS, simple, elegant, and powerful - just the way most Apple stuff is.

The second is the ability to sync Tasks (which also had reminders).

The third is the ability to group apps/create folders - the current Springboard frankly is so lame it's unbelievable.

Other than that I love my iPhone!
