Iphone 2g not working after Iphone Update 3.0

Hi, Please help me out. I have a 2g Iphone which was jailbroken and I was using it thru ATT without any data plan. Yesterday i was not thinking and connected it to my laptop and updated it to the new version Iphone 3.0(thru itunes). My phone restarted .....and Now it just stays at the welcome screen and it says i have to activate it thru ATT to use it. Do i have to jailbreak it again? (My cousin did it for me the first time....) or is there any way i could uninstall Version 3.0 update to the older one? Any advise on how to proceed?

Hi there, thanks a lot for your reply. But the problem here is when i connect my iphone(with my sim inside) and open itunes, it is detecting the iphone and directly showing the AT&T activation page? I mean to say I dont the screen where you select "Restore....and then choose the firmware". Can you please help?
