Beta testers wanted for our up and coming app: Unlimited SMS 2.0

Unlimited SMS 2.0 is our latest work - it lets you send as many text messages as you want within the USA for free and get replies as well for free.

Text messaging is also free from Unlimited SMS to Unlimited SMS users.

This application is very similar to the textfree Unlimited application that is already out in the App Store.

Million dollar question: Do outbound texts still appear as coming from some random server number, or is there a unique ID that folks can add to their address books so they don't feel like they're being messaged out of the blue by a total stranger?

You can beta in the UK...you just won't get the promo codes for their other programs.

Just use Google Voice when it's released. If you already have a Grand Central account, you can upgrade to GV now and start using unlimited SMS now.

There is no landscape mode in this version. However, we are planning to include it in our next release (as well as push).

I would do it, because right now I am averaging in the area of 3500 sms msgs per month, so I do a lot of texting. I also used to be a tester back in the days of the Macintosh Desktops, yes I am old...LOL

Same here. ATT recipients work great, but for Sprint, it doesn't work so good.

When did you send the Verizon one? There was a problem with Verizon and I believe we have fixed it. Would you be able to try again and confirm?

The interface looks great and I can't way to try it out! The main thing I think would look great is if it loads quickly on all iPhones. I have noticed most of the Text apps take a min to load and even more if you are getting it from a PUSH.

I know we aren't going to see Messenger speeds but I find stuff like TextFree...slow.

Sorry, we are no longer accepting anymore new beta testers. We will accept more when we run the beta for the 3.0 version.

Many thanks to those who tested the application and reported bugs and problems for us to fix.

The application has been submitted to the App Store. If you are interested in the application, you can buy the 1.0 version for $0.99 in the App Store and get the 2.0 update for free (price will go up to $2.99 once the update is released).

In options, toggle the U-SMS to U-SMS option to "ON" for both devices. If it still doesn't work, toggle it to OFF and ON again to have it re-register with the server.

Derek I take it everything went smoothly? I was going to tell you that when receiving Push Notifications, it does not tell who it is coming from. I hope you are able to fix this before it goes live!

Send me an email with your UK phone numbers just as how it is stored in your address book.

We never tested this application with European phone numbers before so we probably have to make some modifications to it for it to work.
