apps crashing on open, and apps logo changing.

Hello,

I'm curious if anyone is experiencing what i am. Basically I have a new 3gs 16gig and so does my gf. Both phones when opening downloaded apps would suddenly crash as soon as you open the app. it also change the logo of the application. I had the weather bug logo on my TWC which is The weather channel app. All preloaded application that came with the 3gs worked perfect it only affected the download apps. The way i fixed it was RESTORING the phone after a sync and I had to restore twice to get it to function right. BOTH phones experienced this so called problem/bug. Both phones now work perfect, i just hope this doesnt continue... I believe the problem started after downloading and installing/playing about 15 popular apps. Anyway if anyone else is having this problem please post, and or if you know why this happend on both of our phones.

No crashing here but I do have several apps that I purchased yesterday that the icons suddenly changed. Face melter pro, and arcade bowling both have the black and purple yahoo icon I deleted that app yesterday. Wcp2009 now has the icon for let's golf.

I'm going to restore tonight hopefully it fixes, and doesn't happen again

I had the same thing happening to me and I had to delete my user data and then restore from itunes and everything came back just fine. I think what may have cause it for myself was that I was goofing around in itunes and didn't properly "eject" my iphone from itunes and just unplugged it.

Im on a 3G and also getting the apps crashes just upon launch. Im on OS3.0

I also had this happen right after the first sync on launch day for my 3GS. So I quickly did a clean restore and it fixed the problem. It's been a couple days and just this morning it came back. I don't feel like restoring again so I am just hoping that it will get fixed soon.

Thank u very much for posting those screen shots.. That's exactly what I was seeing. This is def a huge bug and needs attention. Also the icons that were affected were dimmed.

I have also provided screenshots. However, with my problem, if you see the apps worldwide and let's golf, they both have the remote app image.. Yet I don't have remote?

Are you all jailbroken?
If so, you need to launch Cydia and let it update itself.

My iphone is not jail broken either, I experienced this about 3 hours after i baught my 3gs @ launch.

So far the only problem I'm having is with mail. It either opens, then crashes, or won't even open.

I have the old 3g phone and just upgraded to OS 3.0. Before then it worked great.

ANy ideas?
