The latest webcam shots came through, and there's a dinosaur in the picture! And not just any dinosaur, but a famous one!

"Wag" = "One of our guys" maybe?

I had thought of a wag in a slightly different meaning but looking it up I guess prankster is a preferred on.
Maybe its too much wonkery on my parts.
Maybe its time to dog the wags....

What does it normally mean in the US? Sure, it's a prankster, but your post makes it seem like you thought it meant something else?

I don't think its a US thing. I think its a more an inside the beltway thing. I've heard it mean someone who panders for attention. Its like "talking head" but more defamatory and more of a sense of unworthiness.

You don't hear it much here, so I was just curious :)
To be perfectly honest, this is one of the few times I've heard the word, so as far as I'm concerned it could mean anything really

Well I have heard English use it the same as "Joker" but the normal NZ usage would surely be to "wag" school? and since it I am talking NZ'er is it should be "pommies" not english:)
But white Island lol if it had said fiordland I might have beleived it for a least a second.

Oh yeah, wagging school, completely forgot about that one - and I did it today
I live in Whakatane, which is in the the same bay as the island, and is where a lot of tours depart from. People go over there a lot, so I find the story believable.
