Some (probably stupid) questions about the game.

Ive just started playing.

1) It says you need to complete 2 out of 6 tasks before the assasination. But do you get rewarded for doing all 6?

2) If I do the assasination after 2 tasks.... can I return and do the other 4 tasks later on?

3) Is it worth helping people around the town?.... the game told me that its a good thing to do but didnt say why.

Cheers

1. Not sure, sorry. There's probably an achievement for doing all of them, but no reward in-game that I recall.

2. From memory, I don't think so. It's been a while since I played through it though.

3. I think the locals will occasionally grab the guards and slow them down if they're chasing you, so it can be worth it alright.

1. No, they give you more information about how to complete the mission which is already really easy without help.
2. No, you can only help locals since they arent part of the mission
3. They come in handy later in the game when you have more guards chasing you.

I just started on this recently and an extra thanks for me for the tips guys :). Just on the first mission now. Currently having more fun just running around causing mayhem than playing through the story :p.

SNAP

Im enjoying it so far.... except the horse riding bits....

You have to go incredibly slow if you dont want to upset the guards..... its daft that if you go REALLY slow they leave you alone.... but if you go a little bit quicker, they go ape ****

1.) You just get more irrelevant info on the task. But it's ultimately pointless, cause the hints are meaningless when you get a big fat X on the map anyway.

2.) Why would you? They are the same as for every other assassination. Trust me, you'll get plenty of them.

Man, I had high hopes for this game, but the simple gameplay mechanics just ruined it for me. I was looking forward to investigating and tracking down my target by collecting info, spying, all that good stuff. And all I got was "Complete two repetitive tasks, go to X on map, kill dude, rinse, repeat at nauseum..."

I will approach the sequel cautiously. I read they are doing more varying missions, but unless the core design gets some major rethinking I will pass. Just mixing up the tasks a little isn't good enough for me if there is no real investigating and stalking character to the game.

Pro Tip for horse riding:

Ride as fast as you can. Sure they will chase after you but if you enter the city limits zone the aggro doesn't transfer. Unless you are doing something in the Kingdom you can generally plow through.

Yup, ignore everything and just go. After a while you can just instant transport to the cities (once you've been there before).

The games stealth is based on not being noticed by blending in, when you run around while everyone else is walking then you get noticed.

Im aware of this.... but I was talkking about the stealth mechanics when horse riding....

Walk... and you get spotted.... hold down a button to walk a bit slower, and they dont seem to bother with you.

Its not about blending in with the crowd... because there isnt a crowd in these sections (so far, anyway)
