Thanks! I enabled internet tethering using that profile website in mobile-Safari... Since then, I think my mms settings have disappeared. Where should they be?

edit: Nevermind... Found it. Thanks!

I'm sorry but what is tethering?

And you can enable MMS messaging?

Tethering is taking the data signal of your phone and sharing it with another device (e.g. your laptop). MMS messaging is currently hit or miss on AT&T iPhones, but seems to be working fine with unlocked T-Mobile iPhone 3G.

How do I set up the MMS? Or is that the process where I have to call TMobile and they have to activate it?

MMS should be part of your text messaging (SMS) package with T-Mobile...this maybe be part of your data package with them (if you don't have these you need to talk to T-Mo)...what the other posters are referring to is changing your APN and MMS settings in Settings\General\Network\Cellular data network to values that help to get the data and MMS features working on an unlocked iPhone on the T-Mo network.

See attached screenshot for example...

Hope this helps.

I thought I was missing something when I went to the network/APN settings but your screen shot looks exactly like my screen. Where are the fields that you enter the MMS information?

You only see that on a 3G...the 3.0 software version for the 2G disables MMS.

Cheers.

So the username and password section stays blank?

Yes blank username and password...some users have reported success with epc.tmobile.com or wap.voicestream.com

Cheers.

I'm running epc.tmobile.com for my edge internet browsing with t-mobile. I'm running a 2g with 3.0. I'm not having any success with enabling the mms using the epc.tmobile.com. I friend of mine just got his to work with wap.voicestream.com, but my phone seems to run much slower on that. Any advice from someone who has successfully added mms using epc? I can accept messages but when I send them out, they stop about 5% from sending.

Thanks in advance!

I have set this up a few weeks ago, but never really send/received mms until I tried today. Wanted to check to see if it is just me, or if there are issues with Tmo?
