Cursor disappears on Sims 3

I installed the game with no problems and the graphics are superb. But 30 minutes later of gameplay my cursor disappears during gameplay. I can move like nothing has happened but the cursor is missing. My mac is a MacBook Pro 2.53 GHz 4 GB and the current version of Leopard.

Try switching to another application using Cmd-Tab, and then switching back to Sims 3. Alternatively, use Cmd-Enter to switch to windowed mode, then click over to another app, and then back to Sims 3.
