Has anyone found if a fix is out for Cider with USB speakers? I'd prefer to use them then have to put on headphones for Red Alert...

I use a firewire interface with speakers on my mac, and red alert 3 only works on the left channel for them. (Works in stereo through my laptops inbuilt speakers).
My only suggestion would be using http://www.cycling74.com/products/soundflower to reroute the audio.

With USB speakers, the sound becomes all crackly. :-/
I can play them by just selecting "headphones" as my sound output and its fine, so I don't really need fancy redirection, but it would be nice to be able to use my Bose USB speakers to play them as well.

You mean it's crackly when using soundflower? In that case, your buffer is too small - go to the dropdown menu on the top menubar and go to Soundflower 2ch > buffer size > and pick a bigger number.

No, I have not tried SoundFlower with it yet.
