I'm planning on getting a 12" PowerBook and purchase a stick of 512 ram from Crucial. Does installing this RAM myself in anyway void the warranty?

Also is the Apple Care plan worth it?

Regards
Atca

ram is user-installable part, so it doesn't void warranty. just go for it and add as much as your wallet permits ;)

Nope, doesn't void the warranty at all. It's very easy to install, actually. Just look in your manual or go to apple.com/support, select your computer and search for "Installing RAM". Congratulations on the switch :).
