I need a new iPod battery for my 3rd gen 30 gb and i need to know if you can get an upgraded battery for it. im trying to restore the 10 hour limit i had with my 10 gb 2nd gen, but anything better than about 8 hours is fine. Just checking with you guys for compatability and maybe even tests with new batteries. :D

You only get about 8 hours at best with an iPod. You can use Apples replacement program, or there is the other company that will replace it. There is also the iPod battery pack that adds like 40 hours or something of battery.

I personally do not know of any "enhanced" batteries.
For 99.00 it would be worth piece of mind for me to send it in to Apple.
Otherwise you can buy the batteries and do it yourself.
Type in www.ipodbattery.com
The Belkin battery pack is here:

Good luck
