I have a new ericsson t630. Thing is, I can't get the phonebook from the phone into the addressbook on my mac. Is this supported? Everything else works just fine - including calling from the address book etc etc...

I just can't get the numbers/names from my phone onto my mac :(

Runnin OS X 10.3.4 and isync 1.4 btw :D

Cheers,

Jee

You need to pair them via Bluetooth first before sync.

T630 is supported. What exactly is the problem you are facing? not able to add your phone in isync? or it does complete syncing, without actually transferring the numbers?

It syncs fine and says there are no errors. However, no names/numbers FROM my phone go into the address book, only stuff from the address book goes into the phone - I obviously would like both to go in :D

Is this possible?

Thanks,

jee

Jeewhizz,

When you got your new phone, did you use the SIM card from your old phone? If so, your contacts are stored on the SIM card and not the phone. You might need to copy the conacts from the SIM card to the phone and then sync.

I copied them all from the old phone direct to the phone memory on the t630 via infrared - the memory status shows 200 entries on the phone's memory.

Thing is, it syncs fine from mac --> phone, just not the other way round :(

Nope nothing :(

It takes ages to sych - so i assume it is doing something - just don't know what...

Last resort is to move everything to powerbook via BT and then sync - that seems to work but i don't want to do that :(

Not necessarily -- the numbers can be stored on either the SIM or on the phone.

BTW, has anyone gotten their hands on the new US version of the t630 (the t637) yet? Cingular was supposed to start taking orders for them this week, but I'm still not seeing them on the web site.

I have used isync with a T630 for 6 months sucessfully. Now isync goes through it's process, but no information is synced. Can anyone give me some help.

go into phonebook/advanced/send all

send the numbers via bluetooth to your computer and then double click the file it will be an adress card that contains all your numbers then you can open them in address book and use them like normal.

hope that helps,

It's on the website at least in my zip code (DC area-20001). Reports are not all zips have it.

Not on ATTWS yet, apparently.

I ordered mine last Friday, and it arrived yesterday. This is a very cool phone, and it works just great with iSync and bluetooth.
