about to buy a 4870 to do myself. What extra power cables do i need? (UK)

title says :about to buy 4870" but the card is a 4890

you do realize the difference, yes?

4890 is "njector only"......no flash, no boot screen

and based on your thread a 4pin molex to a 6 pin PCI-e is what I'm after:

would this do? Coupled with the cable that comes with the card that should be all i need?

if you want both DVI ports working, it is XFX or nothing I'm afraid.

And I wouldn't jack around with the Molex thing if you don't have too.

Get the special Apple Cables, or make your own.
