Problems with disk drive..

Well when ever i put in a DVD or Music CD into the disk drive of my macbook, for a few seconds nothing happens then it ejects it.
Now im not sure what to do.
Have apple look at it, try to clean it, ideas?

You can try cleaning it, but sounds like a trip to the Genius Bar to me
