Can I easily transfer Windows iTunes saved on DVD to my new Mac?

Hello. My Windows laptop has died but files were rescued from it and put on DVD, including iTunes. I bought a Mac Book as a replacement and asked in the Apple shop about transferring iTunes, but they said there could be lots of glitches and I would need to ask a Mac expert. Does anyone know if I can easily move my iTunes onto my new Mac? Most of my music was uploaded rather than downloaded and my old Windows pc is now kaput, I only have the DVD. Help!

Thanks for that, I've transferred them again and am now happily reunited with my iTunes 😀
