JUst bought 8gb Ipod touch and have a question

my storage on my 8gb say 7gb and my availible says 6.9 is this normal thanx

Yepp. Very normal.

Yeah, mine says the same thing. Thats just like what most companies that make Hard Drives say the capacity is (even though an iPod touch has flash memory). I have was is supposedly a 1.5TB HD but it is really only 1.3TB.

That's why every flash drive, hard drive, iPod on the market has the disclaimer "actual formatted capacity less" or something along those lines.

You have to keep in mind that when companys format the drive (whether it be flash, HDD, etc.) that lowers the capacity not to mention the actual operating system has to go on that same drive. I think going from 8 to 7gb is allot but hey I'm fine. You'll see this in everything.
