hi all
i got a new iphone and started up fine but relised i put partners iphone on mine,so i went in the settings and done a reset. i was told it would take two hours or more,but it has been a day now,all i have on the phone is the apple sign and the star which is not moving,the phone switches off then the sign comes back on,this is all it is doing.please help.cost me money and i need a phone.please please help

Plug it into iTunes and then press and hold both buttons for what will seem like ages and iTunes will eventually cone up saying it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. Then simply restore it.

i done that,but still wont connect to itunes.ringing everyone but its a sunday. the sign still here but not doing anything

Then you didn't press and hold for long enough.

ok,pushed aslong as i could,the apple sign is on the screen,nothing still,the sign is thereand the star sign freezes. just dont do anything.thank youfor helping by the wayany other ideas????

the star sign does move for a second then freezes.then the phone does nothing,five minutes andthe phone trys again

Put the iPhone in DFU mode (google it) and connect to iTunes. You need to restore the software.

thank god the shop opened today,i spoke tothe guy who sold me the phone and found out the system has crashed.thats why my phone was not updating.so i went to him and he has it working again for me.will not be doing that again.
