I had PS Elements 7, but had to downgrade to 6 when I dumped my 6 year old PC and replaced it with a Mac Mini.

I know that the upgrade schedules for their Mac and PC software don't coincide, but seeing as PSE 6 is almost 2 years old, when do you guestimate that PSE 8 will be released.

On a side note, I must say that I'm very happy that PSE 6 came with CS3 Bridge. I have been comparing it to Photo Mechanic, which I downloaded on a trial basis, as it seems to be the one that most pros use. While it's not quite as good, and quite a bit slower than PM, it's more than adequate and certainly gets the job done. This freebie is a pleasant surprise, I'm just curious how come it wasn't included in my Windows version of PSE 7?

While I can't tell you about a PSE6 upgrade, I can tell you about Bridge. It's an outstanding application I use all the time to download photos to my computer. It's a lot faster than iPhoto, and of similar speed to Canon EOS Utility.
