An old iMac 350MHz that I bought yesterday, without a battery, gives an error at boot-up.
I've put a fresh Lithium battery in the machine and wanted to install a new system (9.2.2) on the HD.
Always, at booting, the machine tells me that there is a problem with the cache-memory and that I should contact a certified Apple-workshop.
I zapped the PRAM, reset the OpenFirmware and the iMac Firmware (4.1.7) is up to date.
Is this a serious problem or can I fix it with the help of readers from this forum?
Thanx!
